Cover Art by Matías Santa María.Playa futuro - Makaroni
HR-12 / 12" VINYL/ 2012
The new "Playa Futuro" record combines Makaroni's creation during 2011: themes inspired by a tropical beach provocation, a simple, intimate, risky sensuality, exploring the darkness of airs that foretell the end of the world and the power of nature, and proposing a tropical- synth-goth, or tropical-electro-goth style.
The name of the record, Playa Futuro, emerges in honor of the namesake beach located in the city of Fortaleza, Brazil, in a moment of travel and intuition when life's coincidences open up to celebrate a rite to the sea, the full moon and Yemanha. Three aliens take shape in MKRNI to produce dancing, while delivering wildness and psychodelia. Elisita Punto contributes with her syntethizer and voice with delay; Román reaches into the depths of
House, and Miopec responds with a solid grill of arpeggiators and chrystalized sounds.
The record was recorded at Paper Music Studios, Long Island, New York, during the band's
USA 2011 Tour. It was then mixed during the European Tour that year and completed in
Santiago at Madhaus studios and masterized by Chalo G. at Triana studios.
Playa Futuro is published by Hueso Records, artist Iván Navarro's record label, in
cooperation with Y Productions under Yvonne Gonzalez.
